Oman: Macro-economic outlook remains robust

A review on the macro-economic outlook for Oman remains robust, with high growth, modest inflation, stable financial system, and surpluses in the fiscal and balance of payments position, according to the Oman Times. The newspaper added that monetary and financial condition in Oman continued to remain stable and growth supportive. Money supply, as represented by narrow money (MI) and broad money (M2), registered high growth on year-on-year basis at 16.8% and 17.3%, respectively, in January 2006.
