Ahmed bin Abdel-Nabi al-Makki, Minister of National Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, said that the value of the Sultanate GDP grew to OR 11.817 billion in current prices by the end of 2005, up from OR 9.527 billion in the previous year, an impressive 24% rise.
According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, he noted that the added value of the petroleum activities in the Sultanate of Oman grew to OR 5,796 million in 2005, up from OR 4,016 million in the previous year, an impressive 44.3% rise.
