Oman’s Seeb International Airport received 830,800 passengers in the first four months of 2002, compared to 917,400 passengers during the corresponding period in 2001, reported ONA.

Cargo traffic at the airport fell by 19.2 percent during the same period to 8.44 million kilograms against 10.44 million kilograms in 2001. Civil aircraft traffic rose by 0.51 percent to 13,199 flights compared to 13,132 flights in 2001.

Located in Muscat, Seeb International Airport was privatized last year. The government of Oman signed an agreement with an international consortium led by the British Airport Authority (BAA) to develop and manage SEEB as well as the Salalah International Airport in Dhufar. — (menareport.com)
