Oman’s Hasan Juma Backer Trading & Contracting Company recently signed a 1.2 million Omani rial agreement ($3.1 million) with the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources for the establishment of a sewage treatment plant in Al-Rustaq. Construction will begin in July and is set for completion in May 2003, reported ONA. The plant will have an initial capacity of 7,200 cubic-meters per day.
Established in 1975, the Hasan Juma Backer Trading & Contracting Company completed the Muscat Water Network Rehabilitation project in late 2001. The firm provided Civil & Electro-Mechanical Construction Services to a wide spectrum of clients including Diwan of the Royal Court, Ministries, Royal Oman Police and establishments in the public and private sectors. — (menareport.com)
