Oman’s Galfar Group wins $52 million Qatari road construction contract

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has awarded a 190.3 million Qatari riyal ($52 million) road contract to Oman’s Galfar Engineering & Contracting Company. The project has a completion date set for December 2005. 

 

According to Galfar’s business development manager, the company will build a 37 kilometer dual carriageway linking the town of Dukhan’s Umm Bab road to Salwa, reported Khaleej Times .  

 

Established in 1972, Galfar Engineering & Contracting is the flagship company of the Galfar Group. The group has subsidiaries in Brunei, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Yemen and has a total workforce of over 10,000.
