Oman’s 2002 budget expects $2.5 billion in revenues

The Omani Minister of Economy Ahmed Makkei recently stated that the 2002 general budget includes 2.49 billion Omani Rials ($6.4 billion) in revenues. Oil export returns are expected to contribute as much as 73 percent of these state revenues, equivalent to OR 1.8 billion, reported Al-Hayat. The Omani minister added that the oil revenues were calculated based on an forecasted average price of $18 per barrel for 2002. — (menareport.com)
