The Omani Minister of Economy Ahmed Makkei recently stated that the 2002 general budget includes 2.49 billion Omani Rials ($6.4 billion) in revenues. Oil export returns are expected to contribute as much as 73 percent of these state revenues, equivalent to OR 1.8 billion, reported Al-Hayat.
