Official: Egypt’s gas reserves sufficient for 100 years

Egypt has sufficient natural gas reserves for 100 years said the country’s minister of petroleum, Sameh Fahmi, during a meeting with Members of American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. The minister said that country’s natural gas reserves equal 45 trillion cubic meters. 

Fahmi also said that his ministry has prepared Egypt’s first comprehensive plan for establishing a modern petrochemical industry, and that two serious offers have been received to set up two large-scale petrochemical projects.
