The number of Omantel subscribers in fixed telephone services in the Sultanate reached 269,090 last June.
Statistics issued by Omantel suggested that the number of subscribers in fixed phone service reached 229,999, whereas subscribers in “Sahal’s” prepaid fixed telephone services reached 32,279 last June. The number of cards public telephone boots’ consumed last June reached 6,812.
The statistics reflect the substantial growth in number of subscribers of the fixed telephone services in the Sultanate, with Omantel introducing more services and new packages for its current and new subscribers, thereby expanding users base and attracting new users, particularly those who wants to use the internet, as subscribers of fixed telephone services, access to internet through their fixed telephone lines by subscribing in the internet services provided by Omantel, or via internet prepaid service through “Al-Oufuq” card, leased circuits , or through access and browsing services.
