According to a report by the Regional Council of Tourism, the number of tourists in Casablanca for last month reached to 46,345, showing a rise of 18% compared to the figures of July 2004.
The same sources indicated that this increase is mainly due to the surge in the number of American tourists coming to Casablanca. For the month of July, the number of American tourists in Casablanca showed an increase of 40 % followed by French (13 %), African (32 %), Dutch (32 %), Italian (29 %), German (18 %), British tourists (15 %) and tourists coming from the Gulf area (1 %).
