Ajay Group’s new subsidiary, Nuhas Oman will commence a production trial phase in August. The copper tube and wire rod producer is set to begin commercial production by the year’s end, reported the Oman Daily Observer.
Ajay Group Chairman Ajith Hamlai announced that his group would invest between four and five million Omani rials ($10.39-$12.98 million) into replacing its older copper machines. The group has already increased its installed capacity from 12,000 tons to 35,000 tons per annum.
The new company, formed after the total asset transfer of Oman Copper Industries, is situated in the Rusail Industrial Estate. The assets of the previous company were purchased from the government. Nuhas Oman produces copper wire rods, pipes and tubes used in air-conditioning and refrigeration industries. — (menareport.com)
