NISSAN HONORED BY KSA GOVERNMENT FOR ‘DRIVING’ TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT

His Excellency Dr Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Anqari Minister of Higher Education, on behalf of HRH Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh, honored Nissan Middle East and Al Hamrani United Co for their roles in supporting technology and technology transfer in the Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.

The Minister presented an award to Nissan Middle East Regional Director Takeshi Nakajima and  Sheikh Ahmed Al Hamrani, Vice President of Al Hamrani United Co – the sole distributors of Nissan in the Kingdom - at a special ceremony in Riyadh.

The awards ceremony was organized by the Saudi Society for Technology Development and Transfer to foster the sustainable economic growth in the Kingdom via technology transfer and establishment of a knowledge based economy in the region's largest market.

Nissan showcased some of its breakthrough technology contained within the Nissan Murano 4x4 and Infiniti Q45 sedan to demonstrate the how the introduction of such advanced products would improve local technical skills in the region.

"Nissan has received many international awards for its innovative automotive technology and design and we are honored to be again highlighted for our role in developing the industry within the region. Nissan's unique combination of bold design and thoughtful technology enabled us to deliver an important message about our role in transferring world-class know how and technical expertise to local technicians via our network in the Middle East," noted Nakajima of Nissan Middle East.
