ALBAWABA - The Nintendo Switch 2 has already sold 3.5 million units worldwide, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo console ever, despite many boycott calls from fans and tech enthusiasts alike due to the company's controversial pricing of its games.

Compared to its predecessor, the Switch 2 features a larger, more vibrant LCD screen with colors matching those of the OLED version, a faster processor that enables games to run smoother and at a higher refresh rate, new magnetic Joy-Cons with mouse functionality, and a dedicated chat button.

Nintendo's newest console also supports 4K resolution when docked, allowing players to experience a higher resolution when playing on their TV.

According to NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, the Switch 2's custom chip is considered the most advanced processor built into a mobile device, giving the console a cutting-edge advantage with new ray-tracing technology, graphical enhancements, and backward compatibility support.

Additionally, the new chip has enabled demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 to run, despite occasional FPS drops below the 30 mark, making it a strong competitor to Valve's Steam Deck.

Despite its visible technological advancement, many gamers have voiced concern about Nintendo's pricing for the Switch 2, deeming it "too expensive" for their taste at $450 MSRP ($500 for the Mario Kart World bundle). Nintendo didn't help its case after revealing Mario Kart World's hefty $80 price tag, which sparked widespread boycott calls from fans.

However, Nintendo announced that the sales of the Switch 2 were double the amount of the original Switch console in the first four days.
