The Secretary of the Real Estate Registration at the Omani Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water Abdullah Al-Makheini, ranked the Saudis as number three in terms of the number of investors owning property, particularly land, in the Sultanate of Oman. In the period January-June 2005, 9 Saudis had bought 13,580 square meters of land in the Sultanate.
