A new shopping mall will open in January 2001 in Bahrain, reported the Bahrain Tribune Daily. Called the Al Massa Shopping Mall and covering an area of 36,000 sq. meters, it will be located near the Bahrain International Exhibition Center in Al Sanabis
The new mall will feature 12 cinemas, a chain of international restaurants and a recreation center. A $25 million investment is funding its construction.
According to Ahmed Al Arian, the chairman of Al Massa Cinema Management & Film Distribution, the "Al Massa Mall will provide a wide range of high quality products and also a superb play area for children, making it different and unique among the shopping malls in Bahrain."
The mall developers plan to include a mega car showroom, which will provide a large range of big car brands.
The second phase of the project will incorporate a 105-room, four-star hotel, which will be operated by an international chain in line with the international standards. The second phase will be completed by the end of 2001. – (Albawaba-MEBG)
