The Middle East region's largest spa and a high-end luxury resort will welcome guests from mid-2006. The QR 195 million project, entitled the Al Sharq Village and Spa is being developed by the Qatar National Hotels Co. and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2006, The Peninsula reported.
The contract to build the resort and spa was signed between QNHC and Arab Engineering Bureau. The resort will be located in the vicinity of the Doha Club and will face the seafront and will be just a five minute drive away from the Doha International Airport.
The Al Sharq Village and Spa will feature some 160 rooms and suites. They will be located in 13 buildings inside the village complex.
