Oman TradaNet (OTN), part of Talal Al-Zawawi Enterprises, have created a new division to manage the public relations for Oman's business and public community. The new division, to be named OTN PR, has previously only handled OTN's PR activities but is now starting to offer services in Oman.

The new division, headed by Sarah Livingston, is offering services such as Oman's first press cutting service, media relations management, events management, sponsorship co-ordination, crisis PR management and a PR consultancy service. The operation of the new venture will initially be based in the OTN head office. However, its business plan indicates a need to relocate later this year to accommodate additional staff.

“When OTN was formed in later 2000, we searched Oman for a public relation company, but could not find anyone with the capability we required. We believed that to sustain a professional and successful marketing strategy, an organization should have a good mix of advertising and public relation,” said Andrew Stafford, vice president pf sales and marketing at Oman TradaNet.

“Oman has a number of highly reputed advertising agencies. We found there were no such public relation facilities. Once we had developed our in house capabilities, we had a number of clients asking ‘which PR agency do we use' and it is from this OTN PR has been born. Indeed I am pleased to say we have already a number of major organizations, who are potentially intending to uses our services,” Stafford added.

Oman TradaNet LLC (OTN) is an e-commerce services company based in Oman. The company is a 100 percent Oman owned business, providing e-commerce solutions and products from the e-commerce company General Electric Information Services (GEIS) and other technologies, including Oracle and Microsoft. — (menareport.com)
