The Dubai Media City (DMC) based publishing company Emerge announced the launch of a new monthly magazine, Ambition, that will provide national and expatriate career seekers with information that will help them enter a career in the Middle East region. The first issue of Ambition went on sale in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) earlier this week.

Ambition has tied up agreements with the Geneva-based magazine and newspaper distribution company Levant Distribution and the local distribution company Jashamals, that will see the magazine on the bookstands of 18 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and 14 major cities on the Indian subcontinent.

Emerge plans to print 20,000 copies initially, but have plans to increase the print run to 60,000 by issue 12. They see their readership in young professionals, graduates, and those planning on pursuing higher education. Ranging in age from 17 to 30, they will be people who are looking to either start a career, make a career move, or are searching for higher educational qualifications to enhance their value as prime candidates when looking for new career opportunities.

“We see our new magazine helping regional governments to educate and increase the skills and knowledge base of their young citizens, and helping them find worthwhile careers in the private and public sector for their people,” Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Emerge Amit Radia said.

“I want our publication to create an awareness of all the aspects of choosing a career, from seeking the right qualification to eventually finding the right job. Ambition's editorial content will contain not only useful information on education and careers, it will also carry interesting stories on social issues affecting the region, personal interviews, industry overviews, assessments of career trends, human interest stories, and features on the life skills needed to succeed in a chosen career,” added Leslie Alexanda, managing editor of Ambition. — (menareport.com)
