A 10-million-Bahraini dinar deal was signed to build a four-star hotel in Bahrain, expected to employ 300 Bahrainis upon its completion in July 2002. The agreement to build Al-Dana ResortHotel under Al-Jazeera Tourism Company (AJTC), was signed by AJTC and Al-Aali Contracting at Gulf Hotel.
Next month will signal the beginning of construction, whose plans call for the erection of a 180room hotel including 40 luxury suites covering a 31,000 square meter are,a off Shaikh Hamad Causeway.
Al Dana will be managed under the Novotel group of the French Accor, according to Bahrain Tribune Daily. The company also manages the Sofitel City Center hotel in the UAE and overall has experience running 3,500 hotels worldwide. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
