Reclamation work for the new Northern Town is set to begin by the end of this month. According to GDN, the timetable was revealed as Works and Housing Minister Fahmi Al Jowder Wednesday. Mr Al Jowder told residents that they would be given houses in the new BD1 billion Northern Town, which will be located off Abu Sobh coastline, alongside other residents from the Northern Governorate.
The 1,500-hectare town will include 30,000 homes for more than 150,000 people.
It is the first of four new towns planned in Bahrain.
