New academy for health sciences to be built in Baghdad

The Iraqi health minister Mohammad Ali Alhakim and the American ambassador to Baghdad Mr. Negroponte have laid the cornerstone for the construction of an academy for health sciences in the Green Zone of Baghdad.


Alhakim said that such academy is intended to conduct researches in order to improve the medical services in Iraq. According to him, the academy will train Iraqis on how to use the latest medical equipments and provide informative courses on the latest developments in the medical sphere.

 

He revealed that US$ 10 million will be allocated to this project that would be finished within six months.
