National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), the Gulf state’s largest financial institution, has tied up with The Shared Electronic Banking Services Co. (KNET) and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to offer its customers the option to pay at KNPC petrol pumps with their NBK ATM electron debit cards.
The pilot would be done at the KNPC petrol pump at Shaab (Hawally / Salmiya route) and would be extended to the Bayan petrol pump immediately thereafter. In all, there are 100 KNPC petrol pumps in Kuwait and it is expected to roll this out to all the pumps in phases by January 2003. — (menareport.com)
