National Bank of Dubai (NBD) is hosting a seminar designed to develop the entrepreneurial and leadership skills of businesswomen in the Arab world. The Business Skills program was held at the NBD headquarters on April 15, 2002 and attended by more than 40 United Arab Emirates (UAE) businesswomen.

"The Business Skills Program is part of the annual Women in Business in the Arab World Conference, which has become the dedicated business to business forum aimed not only at encouraging women into the business world but most importantly to help them become even more successful and thereby increase their long-term profitability," Ahmed Suleiman, founder of Women in Business in the Arab World, said.

"NBD‘s association with the aims of the Women in Business initiative is just part of our own assertive approach to support the growing role of women in business. We at NBD are acutely aware that women are increasingly leading the change in business and world affairs," commented Faranak Foroughi, NBD’s Private Banking senior manager, said.

The annual Women in Business Arab World Conference will be held in London on May 21-23, 2002. The Women in Business initiative is not only supported by the UK government's Trade Partners UK but has attracted support from Gulf Air, Shell, Rotana Hotels as well as the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and the Middle East Association. — (menareport.com)
