Khansaheb Civil Engineering was awarded on Monday the main construction package for the 36 hole championship golf course complex, Jumeirah Golf Estates, by Master property developer Nakheel.
Under the agreement, for which a letter of intent was signed for
Khansaheb to undertake final shaping, irrigation and drainage systems,
cart paths, bridges, grassing, and landscaping, according to Gulf
News. Jumeirah Golf Estates was designed by PGA legend Greg Norman.
Bulk earthworks on the first two Eco-signature courses - Fire and Earth, have nearly been completed. The two courses are expected to open for preview play in late 2007. In mid-2008, they are expected to open their doors to their first residents.
