Dubai based property developer Nakheel recently awarded Jotun Paints a Dh25 million contract for Dubai’s Discovery Gardens project, in which Jotun will supply high quality paints and coatings for the development’s structures.
The contract includes the supply of interior and exterior paints for the entire block of buildings that comprise the project by 2007, according to Khaleej Times. Discovery Gardens is a 420,000 square meter pre-designed development complex comprised of themed communities, including Mediterranean, Zen, Contemporary, Cactus, Mogul and Mesoamerican courtyard gardens.
Jotun Paints has already reportedly begun supplying its Fenomastic Gold brand to paint the project's interiors. For the project’s exterior surfaces, it is supplying the Jotathane brand paint.
Speaking of the importance of the deal for the company, Arve Hermansen, General Manager for Decorative Sales, Jotun Paints stated: "This is an important win for us, one that reinforces our leadership position in the local market."
"Discovery Gardens is a one-of-its-kind residential project that is daunting in its scale, and Jotun Paints is uniquely positioned to undertake and successfully execute such mega projects within a short timeframe," he added.
Discovery Gardens features multi-sized spacious stucco colored apartments set amidst landscaped lawns lush foliage, and all modern amenities.
