Nakheel appoints new Commercial and Marketing Manager for Dragon Mart Complex

Nakheel has announced the appointment of Jamal Bin Marghoob as Commercial and Marketing Manager for its Dragon Mart Complex. This move is designed to maximize the potential of the Dragon Mart Complex as a commercial hub for the middleeast by focusing on the relationship between UAE and China and fuelling the recent boom in trade between the two countries.

 

The move comes as Nakheel looks to capitalize on the Dragon Mart’s initial success in establishing itself as a one-stop shop for affordable Chinese products including everything from electronics and hardware to building material and furniture. The Dragon Mart is the largest trading hub of Chinese products outside mainland China and has succeeded in facilitating wholesale and retail in the UAE and the lucrative Middle East markets.

 

“It is an honour to be appointed Commercial and Marketing Manager for a project such as Dragon Mart, which has seen tremendous growth and acceptance in a relatively short period of time. My role as Commercial Manager will be to faciliate further the growth of the Dragon Mart Complex by establishing viable long-term development and sales strategies that will lead the complex to greater success,” said Jamal Bin-Marghoob.

 

“We are seeking to further the complex as an epicentre of trade for Chinese manufacturers and to position it as an easy channel for the flow of Chinese goods to the UAE consumer markets. I am confident that with my prior experience in sales, marketing and commerce and along with our highly specialised team we will be able to make headway and increase the prosperity of Nakheel’s bold Dragon Mart initiative,” he added.

 

After completing his studies in California State University, Jamal Bin Marghoob went on to acquire a great deal of experinece in Marketing and Sales with a huge focus on the Asia Pacfic market especially mainland China. Prior to his appointment in Nakheel, Bin Marghoob served several years in both government and private sectors leading up to his managerial post within the Sales Department – Asia Pacific Region in Jebel Ali Free Zone ( JAFZA).
