Labanese Arabic daily An-Nahar, first published 70 years ago, and the London-based technology services company KnowledgeView Ltd, have concluded a contract for the modernization of An-Nahar's editorial system using the RAPID Browser solution.

Gebran Tueni, publisher and chief editor of An-Nahar, stated: "We are pleased to conclude this agreement with KnowledgeView, following extensive tests and discussions, lead by our Administrative Manager Naji Tueni.”

”This agreement is part of our plan to keep An-Nahar at the forefront of Arabic newspaper systems, to provide our readers with the editorial quality they are accustomed to from An-Nahar, not only on paper but on Web and other electronic platforms."

Ali Al-Assam, managing director of KnowledgeView, added: "We are proud to have signed with such an established publisher as An-Nahar. The technical teams of An-Nahar and KnowledgeView will be working together over the next few weeks to provide the first editorial system of its kind for a leading Lebanese newspaper.”

“This month we have also signed with the Washington Post in the USA for a RAPID Browser system, it is no coincidence that two great newspaper institutions are moving along similar lines for modernization of their editorial systems."

KnowledgeView Ltd is a UK based company with headquarters in the UK and offices in the Middle East and Boston, USA. The company was founded in 1995 to develop cross-media publishing, syndication and communication systems. – (menareport.com)
