ALBAWABA - Amid his craze with Keikus Maximus, Elon Musk has a new favorite cryptocurrency. The tech billionaire and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and changed his username to "Harry Bōlz."

A cryptocurrency titled "$HARRYBOLZ" spiked to unbelievable levels after Musk's username changed to get their fair share of profit from the meme coin. On the contrary, other crypto investors advised people to wait before making any rash decisions. 

A user on X wrote, "This one looks like they takin it well, but chill… it’s only been 10 mins and liquidity kinda weak." Another added, "Elon just changed his name to “HarryBolz” and this s***coin went up 300x in 20 mins."

Moreover, the sudden change in username sparked widespread debate and speculation from Musk fans and cryptocurrency investors. A series of memes have also swarmed X in anticipation. Other than "$HARRYBOLZ," tokens related to the name have also witnessed a surge in numbers. 

Who is Harry Bōlz?

According to The Express Tribune, while Harry Bolz is the name of a real German artist, Musk's intentions were more on the playful side as he allegedly referenced the popular slang, "Hairy Balls." The tech billionaire made a similar stunt in April 2023, when he changed his official X username to the same name. While his intentions weren't clear at the time, users speculated that it was changed as a joke. 

On the contrary, social media users speculated that Musk's recent change was made to stir the crypto market amid his recent clash with OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman.
