Jordan’s recently launched International General Insurance (IGI) firm announced that Paul K. Munday has joined its staff as executive vice president, starting February 1, 2002. Munday will also be head of all underwriting in the company.

“Munday is a very well known insurance executive and underwriter in the international markets, especially London. He joins us with over 24 years of broking and underwriting experience in the London Market, the last 13 of which have been with the Commercial Union,” said IGI Chairman and CEO Wasef Jabsheh.

“He was Class Underwriter for the energy account of the Commercial Union—including both CGU and CGNU following mergers with General Accident and Norwich Union—in both the London Company market and from 1999 with CGU Syndicate 1861 in Lloyds,” Jabsheh added.

Munday has been a member of the Joint Rig Committee since 1997 and has had full underwriting and management responsibilities for the Commercial Union’s international energy book since 1996. The Commercial Unions energy book is one of the largest and highest profile accounts in the London Market, with the majority of business written with the Commercial Union as a leading underwriter. — (menareport.com)
