MTV India was recently made available free of charge to Middle East viewers whose satellite dish is directed to the NileSat satellite, located at seven degrees West. MTV India now provides a digital quality picture with Compaq Disk (CD) quality audio to an additional 22 million television households in the region.
MTV India's sister channel, MTV Europe, is also available from NileSat, as part of the Showtime network's line-up of 25 entertainment channels. Showtime pay-TV bouquet also offers a further 70 free TV channels and 32 radio channels broadcast in digital quality from NileSat. The Al-Awael, Pehla and FirstNet packages are also available through the same dish and satellite receiver. — (menareport.com)
