Othman Benjelloun, Chairman and Managing Director of the private telephone operator, Meditelecom, has indicated in a press conference, which was held on Thursday evening in Casablanca that the company had already materialized investments of MD20 billion (about US$2.2 billion) after five years of operation in the Moroccan market.
During this press conference, which was held to announce that the company has obtained a second license of fixed telephony, the company's president also indicated that Meditelecom currently boasts nearly 50 companies in the country that work exclusively, or almost exclusively, with the company. Mr. Benjelloun also added, reports Bladi.Net, that Meditelecom was able to spread out a network of 1,100 points of sale and to create indirectly more than 15,000 jobs in the kingdom.
