The Moroccan Government requested that several international banks and financial institutions arrange a 200 million euro loan for the Moroccan National Electricity Office. The loan will be used to finance the connection of the Arabian electricity network with the European electricity network, reported Al-Hayat. The government is awaiting the approval of a 120 million euro loan from the European Investment Bank and an 80 million euro loan from the African Development Bank to finance the Moroccan portion of the Arabian electricity network. — (menareport.com)
