A recently issued report by the Agadir Airport Authority showed that 45,951 foreign tourists visited Agadir last July compared with 45,203 foreign tourists in July 2000, according to Bayanealyaoume newspaper. This implies a slight increase of 1.65 percent on a yearly basis.
The report also showed that tourists arriving last July included 13,813 French nationals and 12,8233 German tourists. The number of the arriving British tourists into Agadir had grown by 21.6 percent in July 2001 compared with July 2000. This figure grew from 3,770 tourists in July 2000 to 4,585 tourists in July 2001. — (Mena Report)
