Gulf companies selling equities have reportedly raised nearly $15 billion in only one year, reflecting a four times rise in the amount raised during the previous year.
A recent report by international law firm Trowers & Hamlins, stated that the value of rights issues on Gulf equity markets in the first three quarters of 2005 had exceeded to $9.1 billion, according to Khaleej Times.
This reflects a figure of more than ten times the level of the whole of last year.
Gulf companies are increasingly raising money through equity route rather than taking loans to raise finance to fund organic growth and acquisitions.
