META Group Inc., a US research and consulting firm focusing on Information Technology (IT) and business transformation strategies, will host its CIO Boot Camp, a two-day intensive training program for CIOs, in Dubai on October 29-30, 2002.
Decision makers and senior executive from IT related companies in the Middle East can now leverage META Group's portfolio management approach for ensuring optimum IT investment strategies, in addition to networking with other CIOs, according to a company press release.
The Dubai event addresses current technology trends and includes new training on implementing 11 critical issues of the high-performing CIO to ensure a winning IT investment strategy. The CIO Boot Camp will also focus on insightful case-study vignettes that serve as best practice guidelines.
“We are very excited about bringing the CIO Boot Camp program to the Middle East and to Dubai in particular as the emirate is fast becoming the IT hub of the region. The growing IT community in the Middle East has generated the imperative need for such programs that will allow CIO's to keep updated on current trends in the industry,” said Zaim Azrak, general manager for META Group Middle East.
META Group's CIO Boot Camp interactive series is a training session for senior IT executives and more than 700 executives have so far “graduated” from the program. In 1999, META Group became the first IT advisory firm to offer this type of CIO development event. Since then, the company has expanded its series internationally to Australia, Singapore, Europe, South Africa, and now the Middle East.
The Dubai CIO Boot Camp will be this year's third such program conducted by Meta Group worldwide and the first of its kind in the Middle East. — (menareport.com)
