The highlight of Middle East Electricity’s first annual show next year will be a dedicated industrial and commercial lighting arena, the first of its kind to be held in the region, according to a company press release.
“A quarter of this year’s exhibitors were showcasing lighting products and 38 percent of visitors networked with lighting suppliers, clear indications of the demand for a dedicated arena,” said Sarah Woodbridge, Exhibitions director, Power and Energy Division, IIR Exhibitions.
“With billions of dollars being spent on Middle East infrastructure projects the market for industrial and commercial lighting is expanding. The arena will provide a sector specific forum for the latest technology and brands, many of which will be new to the region.”
The lighting arena will focus on commercial and industrial lighting sector. It will put the spotlight on the latest lighting products, including energy efficient and specialty lamps and ancillary equipment. It will also highlight new commercial opportunities available in the sector.
Middle East Electricity 2003, which is supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Electricity and Water, will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 19 to 21, 2003. — (menareport.com)
