Microsoft sponsors Info/Connect Exhibition in 2002

Microsoft Gulf recently announced its sponsorship of Info/ Connect 2002, the second largest Information Technology and Communication exhibition in the region, scheduled to be held in Kuwait, between January 16 and 24, 2002. Microsoft, which is sponsoring the exhibition for the third consecutive year, will participate in the nine-day event, along with its key partners in Kuwait - Professional Computers, Al Wazzan Computers and Al Sarraf Computers, stated a press release. 

 

Microsoft has been active in the Kuwait market for the past ten years and opened an office in the country in 1999. Under the leadership of Ali Dalloul, the Kuwait office of Microsoft is also responsible for the company’s operations in Bahrain and Qatar, and reports into the Microsoft Gulf office, located in Dubai Internet City. Together with its key partners – Professional Computers, Al Wazzan and Al Sharaf, Microsoft provides software solutions and services to its customers in the three countries, which include both the government and private sectors. 

 

Microsoft opened its Dubai-based Middle East headquarters office in 1991, which now oversees operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as Yemen and Pakistan while. Microsoft Egypt oversees operations in the East Mediterranean region. In the last 10 years, Microsoft has opened local offices in Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan and Oman. — (menareport.com)
