The Middle East’s Orbit Satellite Television & Radio Network announced it had signed an exclusive broadcast deal with the Hollywood studio Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), enhancing its new multi-channel platform with an English language movie channel commencing March 7, 2002.
The MGM Channel will offer a round-the-clock selection of blockbuster movies. The channel will capitalize on the MGM movie library that includes such franchises as James Bond, Rocky, and the Pink Panther. Other titles include such movies as Thelma & Louise, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Moonstruck, Silence of the Lambs, Rain Man, Fargo and Dances with Wolves. — (menareport.com)
