McAfee, the leading pure play IT Security Company in the world, has launched Foundstone Enterprise in Saudi Arabia. The award-winning appliance-based solution offers network infrastructure protection to ensure business continuity through asset discovery, inventory, and prioritisation; threat intelligence and correlation; and remediation tracking and reporting. The launch coincides with the formation of a dedicated team of professionals to address the Saudi market. Kenan Abou Lteif will be the newly appointed territory manager for Saudi Arabia.
McAfee acquired Foundstone Inc. in 2004 for $86 million in cash. In addition to the Foundstone solution, the company has one of the most dominant security talents pools ever assembled, and has authored more than ten books including the best seller Hacking Exposed.
"Business organizations need a comprehensive view of where their risks are and they need to understand how those risks can translate into business impact. Foundstone enables both" said Patrick Hayati, Regional Manager, McAfee Middle East. "By combining Foundstone with McAfee's leading intrusion prevention technologies (Intrushield & Entercept), we are offering proven solutions that help managing business risk from attacks and deliver the best return on security investments "
The Foundstone has a customer base of more than 400 large enterprise customers including AT&T, NASA, US Army, Nokia, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, and many more business organizations. In the Middle East, Foundstone is already successfully operational in several large companies.
"As Saudi Arabia is the biggest IT market in the Middle East, McAfee is pleased to launch the new solution to our valued Saudi customers. We have embarked on a more aggressive growth strategy for Saudi Arabia, reflected in the appointment of a dedicated Saudi team who will oversee the market expansion for our product portfolio," concluded Hayati.
