Initial work has started on a project to renovate the Manama suq, the GDN has reported. Work on the first phase of renovation will cost BD3.64 million.
According to the report, the first phase will include demolishing and rebuilding a government-owned commercial complex, which houses some of the oldest shops in Bahrain, and a facelift for other buildings on the avenue.
