The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has joined forces with the Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco in order to promote management development in the Mediterranean region.

On January 13, during a visit to Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane, the EFMD Director General Eric Cornuel, and the AUI President Rachid Benmokhtar Benabdellah, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for future co-operation.

EFMD will make available to AUI its experience of working with a network of major academic and corporate institutions in Europe and beyond and pass on the lessons learnt in the establishment of the China European Business School.

Eric Cornuel said, “With a strong political commitment to creating an EU free-trade zone by 2010, closer regional integration of the south Mediterranean countries is a must. The availability of business managers trained to the highest international standard is one of the key success factors in that process.

EFMD is a global, membership driven organization, based in Brussels, Belgium. With more than 450 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in more than 40 countries. It plays a central role in shaping an international approach to management education and is Europe’s forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. — (menareport.com)
