European value add distributor Magirus officially opened this week its Middle East headquarters in Dubai Internet City (DIC), aimed at spearheading further regional expansion. The Dubai office is the first outside Europe and the first to exclusively serve the Middle East's high-end enterprise solutions market, said Magirus CEO Fabian von Kuenheim.

Magirus offers tailor-made enterprise solutions including the integration of servers, storage systems and high availability solutions, the customization of operating systems and the pre-installation of system management tools and application software.

The local operation of Magirus is a joint venture between Germany-based Magirus AG and A'Ayan Leasing and Investment Company—a Kuwaiti shareholding company focusing on developing and providing leasing services in the region.

Incorporated under the name A'Ayan Magirus, it is the region's first value added distributor to offer short-term financing programs and leasing arrangements to the Information Technology (IT) channel industry.

With the launch of its Middle East operations, Magirus expands its international network to 19 offices in 10 countries. The $500-million turnover company runs offices in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark and is also represented in the USA through a strategic alliance with Ohio-based Pioneer-Standard Electronics. — (menareport.com)
