ALBAWABA - Sales of luxury sunglasses have surged in recent hours after French President Emmanuel Macron's appearance wearing sunglasses at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Macron has become the center of a huge marketing advertisement for the French brand Henry Jullien's glasses after he apperaed weaing a luxury glasses at the Davos meeting with world leaders.

The media reported that the manufacturer's online store temporarily crashed due to overwhelming demand.

This sudden surge in demand followed Trump's mockery of Macron's outfit during his participation in Davos, prompting numerous international newspapers to feature photos of the French president in his sunglasses on their front pages, transforming the look from a point of political contention into a form of indirect publicity.

The overwhelming interest was immediately reflected in the French luxury eyewear brand Henri Julien. Its Italian parent company, EVisionTech, confirmed receiving hundreds of inquiries and emails in record time, all asking whether the glasses worn by Macron were indeed theirs.

Company president Stefano Folcher stated that the level of engagement exceeded all expectations. He explained that the company typically produces around 100 pairs of this model annually, but is now considering increasing production to approximately 1,000 pairs this year in response to the surge in demand.

On Instagram, the brand quickly promoted the same glasses, called "Pacific," priced at around $770, accompanied by a picture of Macron during his appearance in Davos.
