Jashanmal, a leading luxury stores group with 44 outlets across the region, plans to add six to eight new outlets this year in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

The company is confident of strong growth in the sector, particularly in the area of home life style sales, according to Managing Director, Bharat Jashanmal.

He said he would be sending his buyers to Middle East Exclusive (MEE) at the Dubai World Trade Centre to find new ideas which offer both exclusivity and strong branding.

Organised by Channels Exhibitions, the second edition of MEE, the only trade show for duty free, travel retail and luxury, runs from November 29 to December 1 this year at the Dubai World Trade Centre and has already attracted exhibitors from 12 countries.

Jashanmal added: “The luxury goods sector is increasingly brand led and we want goods that have a strong global image. Home life style has the fastest growth where we do not so much sell products, but inspiration and style.

The launch of MEE last year saw 1,730 trade visitors from 79 countries visit the show which is now established as the leasing market for the industry in the region.

MEE is being held in association with the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup which runs from November 25 – 26 and the MEDFA Duty Free Conference from November 27 to 28. (menareport.com)
