Logica signs $5 million deal with Abu Dhabi water and power utility

Shuweihat CMS International Power Company (SCIPCO) has awarded Logica a five million dollars contract to supply comprehensive data collection and central settlement systems, as part of the privatization and de-regulation process of the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company (ADWEC). Implementation is slated to begin in January 2002. 

 

The deal is part of the Shuweihat S1 Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP) Project, which was won by the consortium of CMS Energy and International Power. This project, which is the largest of its kind in the region, is due to deliver 1500 megawatts of power and 100 million gallons of desalinated water per day.  

 

Logica's utility management solution Prodis provides a range of services to the deregulated utility market, from consultancy to support and maintenance. Each implementation is tailored to meet the specific requirements of the operator.
