Libyan- Egyptian trade talks begin

Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid is in Tripoli, Libya, this week to discuss future trade initiatives between the two countries, reported Al-Ahram newspaper. The Egyptian delegation, consisting of Prime Minister Obeid and eight ministers, is scheduled to participate in the 7th meeting of the Egyptian Libyan Supreme Joint Committee. 

 

The committee will discuss ways to increase bilateral exchanges from the current $112 million per annum, to $500 million per annum by the year 2005. Also on the agenda is the furthering of bilateral projects and a joint electricity endeavor. — (MENA Report)
