LG Electronics’ television sales in the Middle East and Africa increased by seven percent in 2000, amounting to $237 million. The company sold 203 thousand units of its Flatron television model in the region during the same period, contributing $42.9 to the total sales.
LG targeted a 14 percent increase in sales for 2001 with the introduction of the new 40, 42 and 60-inch Flatron Plasma televisions. The new Flatron television combines the Korean company’s flat screen technology with a two tuner VCR in one unit. — (menareport.com)
