Korea’s LG Electronics (LGE) has been rated the world’s leading air conditioner supplier by the Japanese Air Conditioning Journal. The company is now the best-selling provider across 41 countries – 11 of which are in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia.
In the Middle East, known as a tough market for foreign brands, LGE has implemented customer-oriented marketing including an enhanced focus on its distribution network. “We have organized dealer conventions and participated in regional trade exhibitions to ensure we are instantly recognized on the market,” said President, LG Electronics Middle East and Africa, MB Shin. “Recently we opened our own training center in Dubai to assist marketing efforts through dealer training.”
LGE posted record first-half Middle East sales in the first half of 2002, revealing a 19 percent increase compared with the same period in 2001. Regional sales turnover for the first six months of the year amounted to $581 million. — (menareport.com)
