Lebanon and the European Union will soon sign a partnership accord in Brussels. The new accord will replace the cooperation agreement signed in 1978, enabling a custom-free inflow of Lebanese products into European markets, reported Al-Hayat. The new accord also grants Lebanon a customs exemption on goods entering the country until 2014. Lebanese agricultural exports to Europe will not be subject to customs or quotas, while European products heading for Lebanon will only be exempt from taxation for five years. — (menareport.com)
