Market turnover on the Beirut Stock Exchange increased in June from
the month before to 1,164,584 shares. The 67.16% increase was
mainly the result of a block trade in Solidere “A”, in which 162,930
shares were traded for a value of $1.3m. Trade in banks’ shares
almost tripled to 669,746 from last month’s 236,826. The ratio of
trading value to market capitalisation in June edged up from May, by
27 b.p. to 0.42%.
