Lebanese megastar Elissa has recently signed a contract to be the spokesperson for Pepsi. The partnership forms part of the company’s ongoing strategy to promote and support Arabic music and singers.

Elissa joins leading names such as Amr Diab and Nawal Zoghby in the Pepsi family of superstars from the Middle East. Her debut involves promoting the launch of Pepsi’s new energy cola, Pepsi X, through a television commercial which features a specially written song performed by Elissa.

“Elissa exudes the positive energy that makes her a natural star,” says Mustafa Moussa, marketing director, PEPSICO International, Middle East. “She is the perfect spokesperson for Pepsi X because she embodies the lively spirit and vigor which the product stands for.”

“Working closely with the Pepsi team, when we were filming the commercial in Spain, was an excellent experience for me. They are very professional and at the same time, fun to work with,” said Elissa.

Satellite TV stations all over the Arab world will start airing the new Elissa and Pepsi X TV commercial at the beginning of September. – (menareport.com)
